Review on πŸ”§ Gobrico Hardware 12 Inch Hydraulic Extension: Advanced Product for Effortless and Efficient Operation by Adam Rogers

Full extensions are sensitive to width!

I have finished assembling the second set of 10 pairs. The fit and finish of these slides is very good. As noted, the included screws are short. However, Torx screws up to size 8 can be used and the mechanism will clean the screw heads. I don't usually read 5 star or 1 star reviews, hence four stars. I call for the little screws, so what. As far as I can remember, the drawers never came with installation instructions. So here are a few tips. When you take the set out of the box, move the part of the box back and forth to understand how the self-locking pin works. You will probably have to manually move the self-closing mechanism to the front position when inserting the drawer. I always make my drawers down an inch and 1/16th the size. It's easier to sand than sanding the sides of the drawer with a belt sander. The absolute best small base for any project is asphalt roofing. 15# roofing felt needs 3 pieces to form 1/16 inch. It is not affected by water, and the conical spacers are flatbread. As I said, all full extensions are very sensitive to width. Take your time and do it right. Typically foils last 12+ years. To install the cabinet-side rail into the frame (the box that all cabinets start with), cut a piece of plywood that will support the top rail. Assemble both sides, then rip apart the pry bar to fit the next bottom rail set in the bottom drawer. The front of the drawer slides should be 1/16 or 1/8 from the front of the cabinet. I just installed it by eye. The soft spring compensates for any difference between the pages. Back to the roofing felt Cut the pieces with a utility knife, if they are bare at the end of the project, cut them with a knife. For the foils I used scissors and cut squares. Then by removing the bolt I was able to wrap the gasket around the bolt and retighten. My drawers are always #2 pine and then opened to be transparent. Dovetail cutouts make them explosion proof. Some of my drawers are on the third set of sliders. I used long 5/8 bolts from my Blum stash, and where I needed large washers in the frame I used 1 1/4 Torx bolts. Your time here is a long-term investment.
