Review on 🔪 Enhanced Work Sharp Benchstone Knife Sharpener for Optimal Sharpening by Mark Crawford

The sharpener works well. Did an excellent job sharpening various types of knives - kitchen knives, loin knives, buck knives, spyderco knives and more. My problem was that the lock for individual sliders became more and more difficult to engage after repeated use. I had to rock back and forth several times. Sometimes one is blocked and the other is not. It became very inconvenient to use. I spoke to the manufacturer and their service rep said the engineer said it was designed so the slides wouldn't unlock. I explained that the problem isn't with unlocking, but that it's difficult to lock. Several letters and I couldn't get the gist. I am returning the sharpener because I have no idea that at some point it will be impossible to repair and the manufacturer doesn't seem to want to support their product. They never offered to replace the element, they kept saying it was designed that way. Good sharpener, bad technical design and bad customer service. I would not recommend it for long-term use. EDIT: A few days after writing this review, I was contacted by an engineer from the manufacturer. He wanted my review to improve the product and offered me a free replacement or upgrade. The result is much better than I expected.
