Professional quality at an affordable price. Permanent measurements with Fluke 561 for $199.

As a budget conscious consumer who is also looking for quality tools, I have other Uni-T tools. Whenever I see a brand, I know it will be reasonably priced while still offering similar performance to the more well-known "American" brands like -hust (and I put quotes because it's often just an American brand , but made in China). - Coincidence -cough-. I have a Uni-T multimeter, clamp meter and non-contact voltage tester and they are my go-to drivers when it comes to electrical work and have been reliable ever since. I borrowed a Fluke thermometer from a friend for this task but needed it for an extended period of time and Uni-T is a brand I trust and they again proved why by comparing the results with Fluke Instruments 561 have compared in the flu measurement. activates +/- 0.2F he bought for $199 versus this Uni-T for $35.89 (-14% coupon, about $30.99) and you have a winner. The rear display is very bright and colour-coded, there is no on/off switch, only trigger sensitive. The included carry/storage case is nothing fancy but offers basic protection from scratches, bumps and dust, honestly at this price point it was a great addition. The only downside that doesn't affect usability, but I see this as a growing trend, is that the packaging and manual are entirely in Chinese (see photos). These brands get away with it because the products are good and have great value, but they're very lax about localization for US markets, which Fluke definitely gets right since it's an American company. Accuracy unbeatable, 5 stars.
