I got this a while ago as a backup temperature controller for my restaurant business. Because of this, I didn't open the box for a while, and when I finally opened it (to service the sourdough cooler) the probe cord was neatly cut in half. I took the probe from another temperature controller I have (NTC). type) and the wires connected. it says 187 degrees Fahrenheit at normal room temperature. I put the probe in the fridge and it seems to go up and down but it's set ridiculously high. I tried switching the wires and it was the same. I took the second NTC sensor and attached it and it said the same with the second, 185+ degrees. I am in the process of ordering another temperature controller but this particular experience was poor especially as I bought it for a rainy day. If there is a way to set the temperature I would like to know but I can't find any instructions
