The first had a broken seal, the second had dented a very sharp edge of the lid. Bad quality control.
The first one had a broken seal, but otherwise looked good. gone back The replacement came in a whole box but the bucket had a dent on the bottom edge. The edge of the lid doesn't appear to be brushed; I've seen duller kitchen knives. The good news is that the seal is fine. In general, the post-processing quality seems to be poor. There are many small tool marks and scratches as well as stuck sand and dirt. It's totally usable, so I'm deciding whether to replace it, get my money back, or just clean it up and keep it.
