I mounted this on the frame as a side bag over the belt cover on my 2011 Iron 883. It fits snugly between the seat and exhaust but covers about half of the passenger footrest I was counting on when I bought it. The bag itself is stiff and seems to be holding up well, although I don't typically ride in inclement weather. Holds a lot for such a small bag, just make sure you use strong zip ties.
