I checked the size chart and ordered a size 10-12 but it didn't fit my son under the hips. Swapped for 14-16 and with just an inch more fabric I couldn't get them past my ass. I finally got the 18-20 and they fit around the waist but now he looks like he's wearing capris unless I pull them up to the navel which is fine we don't need any plumbing at the school pool. The baby weighs only 103 pounds, and in terms of breast size, it is almost the average of 10-12 measurements. I think they need to reconsider the size chart and measure hips instead of weight and chest. Suitable for 10-12 in different clothes. So definitely small. I recommend buying at least one size larger. and if that doesn't work, you can exchange for the next size up. We also ordered a rashguard shirt and it fit as expected for the 10-12 we ordered.
