Review on Gates 42260 Water Pump by Kurt Manning
The defect lasted less than a month, a high-pitched victory noise developed
Everything was fine at first but once I had it installed and my car started it started making noise due to the water pump bearings. Now I have to drain the radiator again, remove all the belts and pulleys to install another water pump. Gates usually has good products, but I'd settle for tubes and straps and skip the rest. I bought an idler pulley that was also a gate and had to modify it because it didn't match the OEM.
