Review on INA446 Surf-Wind-Long Board Locking Roof Carrier with Pads - Securely Holds (1) Kayak, (1) Canoe, or (2) SUP/Wind/Surf-Boards by Mike Bucher

We really wanted this SUP mount because it was easy to get on and off our crossbars and it looked like it is easy to carry our SUPs. BUT unlike Thule and Yakima SUP bindings, this binding is mounted on crossbars. Because of this, where the joists can be placed along the cross members is very important - they need to be set wide to match the width of the boards. Because our OEM Subaru Crosstrek crossbars are thicker around the edges, we were unable to mount the holder wide enough to accommodate SUP boards. We discussed whether buying extension bolts (INNO ISF722 long bolt set for INA445, INA446) might solve this problem, but found that it didn't. These crossbars also have an additional plastic lip on the front bars that prevents the SUP holder from sitting flat even with longer bolts. Unfortunately we had to return this to get a Yakima SUPDawg paddleboard stand instead.
