Review on Minos Moka Pot Espresso Maker by Joshua Sarma

The handle gets so hot it almost scalds me. When I contacted the manufacturer/seller they said maybe the flame was too high and the handle too close to the fire. Not this case. And just recently I made a surprising discovery: steam/water rushes out of a tiny hole at the top of the handle. I made a video but for some reason I can't post it through the app. In any case, this is proof that the handle is hollow, allowing boiling water from the tank to flow through it! No wonder the handle gets so hot. As long as you don't accidentally get a second-degree burn, this thing makes good coffee. But definitely a design flaw that needs fixing! I bought this model because my previous moka pot had a spot welded handle and it fell apart, probably from repeatedly screwing it on and off while tightening it with coffee grounds. I liked the integrated design of Minos, where there is never a risk of the handle falling off. But it still might be better than going to the hospital. If you buy this, always use an oven mitt and you'll be fine.
