The ice balls are nice and round. Haven't had any just not be the correct shape. The bigger issue here is getting the ice ball out. It took all my strength and effort to get these things out. And of course there is barely grip because . it's ice . So a 5 minute battle and the over all concern for my finger tips freezing and then sliding off the ice to silicone to blister later, I got the first ball out! After the first 3 i was just over it. Lastly I've never seen ice ice melt so fast in my life. it's as if the ice being in a ball made it more aerodynamic to the minimum heat of room temp water. Now I see why ppl spend the $100 on the metal ones.
