I like large ice cubes because they last so long. I've tried several different kinds of sphere molds, as well as some large cube types. The large cubes often don't even fit in my glasses. For the price, I can't say I have any dislikes on this product. It has good overfill management to keep from making messes and as you can see from my photos, post freeze product turns out decent and with acceptable value for the price. In my case, I have reverse osmosis filtered tap which might give you a few less clouds and bubbles over regular tap water. Keep that in mind if you want extra sparkly ice if you are host a special night. Overall, I would buy again if needed.

No matter how many times I try to fill it to the top, even with a slow stream of water pouring in, I can never achieve the perfect sphere that we see in the advertised photo. Each time I try I get just a half or semi-sphere. Oh well, still nice to use.

This product provides a fun alternative to your regular ice cubes. Haven't found a way to get crystal clear ice balls but I'd recommend the product.

I don't have the problems some have experienced. Pure water is the best for several reasons - one being no minerals to bond to mold

Really like these ice balls. Great for many drinks. Even used these for party punch at my daughters birthday event.Very difficult to fill accurately since the silicon top is opaque black. Difficult to remove as well. My tip is that running cool water over it while pulling helps a little.

So few things to note. 1. Cause of the rubber/silicone cover it doesn’t make perfect spheres but more like two slightly different sized half spheres stuck together. This causes cracks and the ball to split in half. 2. If you over fill the mold with water the ice expands and the mold doesn’t work great and it causes a bunch of cracks. Best thing I found is to put a few ice cubes in the mold before adding water. This allows for less expansion in the mold and it seems to freeze faster and more…

The tray works but it is a chore to get the tray/silicone mold to completely fill with water. Most come out half an ice ball.

Cubes (spheres) are a bit tough to remove. Easy enough to fill and have not had any leaking. Leave a bit of air at top of each opening to allow for expansion. Not sure why but my sheres were perfect at forst and are noe splitting in half.

Really nice ice molds overall. They make ice quickly (comparatively speaking) and are symmetrical. The only issue is that if you are wanting crystal clear ice, they don't necessarily come out that way. The crystal clear ice is difficult to achieve in a mold and these do a very good job but not perfect. If you want a very good ice ball with slight cloudiness, these work great. Absolute clear ice? Place water filled mold upside down in an Igloo playmate cooler with something under the mold to raise it about two inches. Fill the cooler with water to just cover the tops of the mold. Leave the top of the cooler open and put it in freezer for 48 hours, it freezes from top to bottom with clear ice on top and the cloudy ice pushed under the mold. I've made a few batches of these ice spheres. So far, I think the tray is pretty easy to use, and the ice spheres certainly last a LOT longer than the regular cubes my Samsung refrigerator ice maker puts out.The tray snaps together, and has a few interlocking nubs that snap together to hold it securely. I have been using a smaller round ice ball for some time now. A friend had these and I really liked them. The larger ice ball takes longer to melt and adds less water to your drink. I prefer to sip and drink my Scotch and Bourbon slowly, the larger ice ball doesn't water down my drink as fast allowing me more time to enjoy.

The ice balls are nice and round. Haven't had any just not be the correct shape. The bigger issue here is getting the ice ball out. It took all my strength and effort to get these things out. And of course there is barely grip because . it's ice . The product worked for 3 months (we probably made ice in it 2 times per month) then it broke. See pictures. Not great quality.

I like the idea of these, but as you can see from the photo, you need to help it a little to get good results, at least I had to with the ones I got. Without adding the rubber bands to hold the silicone top down tight, they leaked to the point you didn’t really get a round ball of ice. I also found putting them in a pan kept any leakage from accumulating in your freezer. That said, adding the rubber bands only takes a minute so it’s not that big a deal for me.
