Review on DMT A4EE Diamond Whetstone 2X Extra Fine by Jacob Ferrarini

This is a good stone for polishing the cutting edge of a blade. This is the final step in sharpening the blade you intend to use as a razor blade. This stone alone can do little with a dull blade. You should use coarser stones first. I bought it in addition to the DMT Deluxe Aligner. I also bought a very coarse stone, so I have five whetstones in total. (This stone is probably the least important of the stones.) There is an inconsistency on the packaging regarding the grit size of this stone. The packaging says it is a 2200 mesh stone. This is in conflict with the DMT literature and website which states that white is 2200 mesh and brown is 8000 mesh. So I emailed DMT. Here's what they said: "The websites are correct. Tan - 8000 mesh. The color of the packaging has been changed from white (ceramic) to brown, but the fabric has not been accidentally altered. We apologize for any inconvenience.
