I decided to build a frame so I could sink it, it was very easy and cheap with screws and 2x4. I used maybe 7 or 8 and covered them with a ship pad which costs more. I built the frame over the weekend after receiving my fireplace. The heat dissipation is really great. I live in an old house and I have a hard time controlling the heat on the top floor so I use my little fireplace. I set the temperature and it turns off automatically once the room temperature reaches that temperature. I love my fireplace and it has really made a rather boring master bedroom familiar. I haven't finished painting and trimming it yet, but I will add a simple coat.
