Sander handles well with much less vibration than I expected. Well done. Good clamp design for attaching 1/2 sheet of sandpaper. Has enough power. However, I bought this grinder because I needed to be good at collecting dust (sanding a floor in a residential area). The dust collector that came with the grinder was inadequate... And dust extraction: the pipe on the grinder is oddly small. Outside diameter about 7/8 inch. It will NOT fit the standard 3 gallon shop vac hose or any adapter I've ever seen. I had several adapters from other manufacturers on hand. Neither of them were anywhere near Couldn't find anything suitable online or at a hardware store. Completely incompatible. So why did Harbor-Freight (and others) figure out that dust extraction typically requires a vacuum port; but Makita seems reckless and/or stupid? Won't sell their special anthers, will they? My workaround is (or why I didn't return the grinder despite being seriously annoyed): wrapping it in duct tape. I used a hard plastic adapter (roughly 1 3/8" ID to 1 1/4" OD) and cut the male end to go over (and curve) the band-to-gasket connection. Then tighten the adapter with a clamp over the "sealing tape" of the dust tube. Finally, I created another washer (more tape) on the 1 1/4" male hose fitting to fit snugly on the end of the 1 3/8" female adapter. I was finally able to use the grinder. And it did a great job connecting to my shop vac.
