Overall I'm really impressed with the performance and build quality of this tool. As you would expect from a brand, this is a solid and sturdy instrument that feels very well balanced in the hands. Some attention to detail, rubberized areas on the grip, and reasonably ergonomic controls. The motor is surprisingly quiet at full speed, accelerates quickly and produces remarkably little vibration. Sander handles well with much less vibration than I expected. Well done. Good clamp design for attaching 1/2 sheet of sandpaper. Has enough power. However, I bought this grinder because I needed to be good at collecting dust (sanding a floor in a residential area). The dust collector that came with the grinder was inadequate... Just got my Makita from Revain, delivered to my door in 2 days sweet! It is indeed made in Japan and appears to be of premium quality.
