Review on AV-receiver 7.1 Pioneer VSX-921 by Minoru Furukubo ᠌

Revainrating 4 out of 5

It was a reasonable purchase, I will order more.

Before that there was a Pioneer VSX 710S. Compared to it, the new one really plays better, cleaner sound, more bass. Plays much better from analog inputs. It’s clear about digital gadgets, he is 10 years older. Although the characteristics of 92x are similar to 710 and 711. By the way, there will be no 922 device, 822 and 1022, and half of the inputs, analog and component, will disappear. Pioneer is increasingly reducing the cost of models. In terms of workmanship, the 921 looks noticeably cheaper than the 710, a flimsy, dirty front panel, weak wire fasteners, the remote control lies worse in the hand and the buttons are smaller. But in general, the device is good, I advise.

Pros
  • Powerful enough Clear sound (I have B&W 8 ohm speakers) Perfect for movies BiAmp - the sound is even more pleasant Many inputs Informative display Not heated
Cons
  • One HDMI output - do not adjust the modes on the TV set, for example, disable all digital processing for a game console. Non-slip mounts for acoustic wires Autotune doesn't make the sound better. I especially didn't like the auto-tuning of the equalizer. The remote control has small and uncomfortable buttons.
