We used this to tow a retractable camper trailer behind a small retractable bumper camper. Tongue weight was only about 100 pounds or less, but this setup worked flawlessly. I'm assuming the pop up is 1200lbs at travel weight. One of the lock nuts that came with it didn't have the plastic ring that let it "lock up".
