Originally I wanted a whole car with glass walls and a hanging kettle etc like in a movie theater as my family loves popcorn. There's no justification for giving up space for one and cleaning the whole car every time. It's a logical choice! Quality? I'm impressed with how good this thing is. Beautiful stainless steel finish looks like professional grade cookware. Everything is stainless steel so it's very easy to clean and I don't expect corrosion to be an issue. The lid is snug but not too tight, the base is heavy and thick so it heats up quickly and evenly. The agitator/crank assembly works great. The only "problem" I had was that when the popcorn was almost done, it was packed quite tightly inside and was difficult to stir with the handle. I used a full cup of corn and next time I'll need to shrink it a bit so it doesn't get squeezed tight after it pops. I really regret not having bought a popcorn maker like this in a long time. ***Even though I had the VINE logo on my account, it was a full price personal purchase.
