Review on Power Bright APS1000-12 Pure Sine Power Inverter 1000W Continuous / 2000W Peak 12V DC to 120V AC by Chase Cooper

Maybe I got a bad one. I installed this inverter on my RV following the instructions (which don't help much other than plugging it in first) using a 200 amp fuse box and 0 gauge wire about 2 feet from the 400 ah battery . It worked very well and powered the TVs and outlets in the camper for about a week. I've never had more than 4 amps AC. So far, so good. I turned it off and it sat on the road for a week with charged batteries. When I left all systems running for the dry weekend camping, the inverter turned on without complaint, but no AC. No alarm, only air conditioning. The children were not satisfied with the vacationers. I have to say that Revain's return policy is amazing. They replaced the unit the next week with no questions asked and no cost to me. The new device will be reinstalled and I will update my review if this lasts more than a year. Update 5/21/14: Got a new one and installed it identically to the old one. So far this has worked great. I'm going dry hiking for a week next month and we'll see how it holds up for a week of heavy use. Update 02/11/2016: The device has been working properly since I replaced it. Upgrade to 4 stars.
