When you need to quickly pump water with sand, sediment or dirt in one spot this works well, especially when combined with a short 1" PVC -Extension to the floor. It does its job perfectly and is less cumbersome than the electric pump I used, which required me to constantly clean the filter as it was "designed for clean water only". Small stones and pebbles. I quickly cleared the pipe, but a stone or two got stuck in the PVC extension. They are easy enough to remove and return the Bernoulli principle in full force. The only small fault I have is that the connection between the drain hose and the unit is a bit loose and there is a slight water leak at the hose connector even after I used teflon tape to seal it better. Otherwise, this product worked for my purposes!
