Quality issues and issues with instructions in brochures. I don't know how to install an extra piece of plastic and a screw to keep from rattling. The instructions don't show how to do this. It just installs in a way that matches the instructions but not the image in the advertisement. If it matched the picture it would give it an extra 2 inches of ground clearance to keep the Avalon from scratching the ground on small inclines. I think this would work well on SUVs or trucks with a little more ground clearance. So I'm going to keep it for now in anticipation of a new Tacoma in the fall. Since it's a truck, you really don't need much. Another issue is twisted welds that don't make the post quite square. Maybe you got lucky and it was just a quality issue. It seems to rust very quickly and it would be wise to cover it with some sort of clear coat or something to slow it down. This is heavy cast iron.
