The straps on both of ours snapped in less than a week. We have used them every night since we moved to a new home where scorpions live. So we patrol the yard every night looking for it. The light works pretty well and for our purposes it works great. I had no idea scorpions glowed so brightly. like radioactive material for real. One light is slightly brighter than the other, so there's still a lot of variability. Also, I didn't realize it when I bought them, but they used AA batteries. That means they need to be replaced fairly regularly. I would prefer a C or even D powered lamp, both for endurance and so I can see further into the night. The search for scorpions is scary and we approach the task with great disdain. I want to be much more powerful. But they do their job well and at a decent price. I don't really regret it, although I wish the straps had lasted a little longer.
