After much research I decided to purchase a 6GB memory module for my early 2008 24" iMac (3.06GHz) and have no regrets. The once sluggish iMac is coming back to life .I used to use what I thought was the max storage (4GB) and I could barely keep an app open at the same time.Adding just 2GB solved everything.Perfect update!
