Review on Blazer B430BLK 4 Inch Round Flange by Randy Basque

Revainrating 5 out of 5

This is a great economical trailer light.

I have a homemade trailer and I damaged a previous pair of lights of this type so it was an easy replacement and at around $10 a pair they are worth it. The lights are in metal housings which must be grounded to your trailer frame or you must run a separate wire from the trailer socket ground to the light frame. There are only two wires and both to the lamps. Mine came with 1157 bulbs and I bought a pack of 10 bulbs from another site for about $4 because bouncing on some pretty bad dirt roads broke more than one filament. My pendant has sheet metal light holders with 4" holes that the flashlight cuts out and about half of that light goes in that hole, but to get all the way in (the light can expand slightly towards the lens) you need a 4-1 diameter hole /2" and it comes with a spacer that you can use for the cutout mark...or just buy a set of brackets for about $10. The lens is highly reflective and spreads the light well, so there was no need to paint the interior black to improve reflection.

Cons
  • Not bad
