Review on πŸ”Œ Electop 10-Port 12V 4-Pin PWM Fan Hub for PC Chassis, CPU Cooling, Molex Controller by Jazz Rajasingam

Revainrating 3 out of 5

Cheap way to add more fans, but PWM control doesn't work

Used this as I ran out of motherboard fan headers (had 4 attached, planned to add 5 more). Read the instructions and I have 1 fan in the slot marked "CPU" connected to a Molex and plugged into the slot with the supplied PWM cable between the PWM slot and the motherboard fan connector. All fans are working and there is no problem for the motherboard to read the fan speed connected to the "CPU" slot, but I couldn't adjust the speed (tried via BIOS, Speedfan and other fan monitoring software) - all 4 - PWM contact fans read and sound like 100%/1700 RPM. I have tried connecting each fan to the motherboard individually and I can set them up once they are connected. So this appears to be an issue with the fan controller, so I'm giving it a 3 for some of the features it claims work.

Pros
  • In hub interfaces, the RED CPU interface is a dedicated CPU fan interface (with speed measurement). Since the mainboard can only process one speed signal, the other nine common fan interfaces have a PWM function, but no speed signal.
Cons
  • Lots of things
