I used a hot stapler for almost everything. I've used it for headlights, snowmobile parts, even my kids' stuff. I love it! I set it too high on the first test and pushed the strut through. With thinner plastics, something needs to be improved. The rod facilitates repairs in tight places, it has three different angles for staples. Comes in a nice tool box with a good pair of wire cutters.
