I bought this so my daughter can use her school Chromebook with the same monitor, keyboard and mouse as her desktop PC. It was cheap but functional and served its purpose. It just works. I would recommend it if you need to switch between two machines. Nothing outstanding but does the job.

When switching, the screen toggles for 3-5 seconds and it seems that it redefines the monitor. I also had another monitor connected (dual monitor setup) and only used it for 1. This causes both screens to go black for 3-5 seconds when detected again. Not a good product. To return.

Easy setup and I like the small size but it didn't work with my new Dell monitor. This worked reasonably for mouse and keyboard but sometimes lost signal and I had to unplug and replug USB to get signal again. My monitor did not recognize HDMI on any of my computers. I tried using high speed HDMI cables instead of the one that came with it, but still no dice.

Maybe it's because I'm using an HDTV as my monitor (shouldn't matter). The keyboard and mouse switch worked, but I couldn't get a video. Revain replaced it very quickly, but the replacement didn't help either.

I use this for work related purposes - I spend most of my time in text consoles and terminal emulators so I have no idea how this affects graphics performance. It's fine for working with internal programming though. I switch smoothly between laptop and desktop computers running Linux.

I've had a lot of trouble getting this to work properly but it's working great now. It seems to be working stably. Not sure if this requires USB 2 or 3 or if it will work with both, but I think it finally worked properly when I switched from one to the other. They aren't tagged on my laptop, so I don't know which is which.

This unit looks good, is compact and delivers decent quality. The problem is that I use it to toggle the second monitor output on my laptop running Windows 10. When I switch to the second source my laptop would reset the displays and move all windows from the second display back to the primary display.
