PROS: #1 no exposed conductive metal, i can put it anywhere without accidental sparks (safety 1) #2 bending the rod is so easy #3 the Rod holds tighter than any other point I've used #4, virtually indestructible, I've dropped it six feet, a hard but not brittle screw cap can withstand a semi-soft rubber handle that doesn't burn easily. The #5 grip base has rubber that surrounds the wire and prevents dirt and water from getting into the #6 grip. It fits into tighter spaces without the #7 handle. I have two holes, one at an angle I don't really use. and a straight hole #8 no exposed bolts or nuts everything is clean and dry under the grip #9 rubber inserts (copper) are one piece, well made #10 looks awful to me CONS: #1 if you get stuck you need both hands to quickly pull out this electrode (solution won't get stuck!) #2 It's not the easiest setup to get copper rubber, especially the first time, it's not fast and requires some strength, so if for some reason you don't have the Need to change tips, it's best to just use another whip "if possible", it's more permanent, like install and forget, only change if your whip burns out (which is mostly a pro if your whip sees 2 -3 tips before needing to change the whip) #3 I don't know I don't see much of a difference loading or ejecting the electrode, but again you need both hands, so if you have one use hand to hold beam, other hand to weld on traditional spring spike. This is a better and safer option and that's why I'm saying this is for shop welding/pipe welding rather than height (ironwork) #4 no one sells this in the shop that I know so order two or three online, because you will be waiting for it for a while, at least a month (for me it was worth the wait).
