Incredible quality for the price

Okay, first my fault: A few days ago I asked a question about this product and asked if there was a way to make the LCD screen clearer. The company responded in less than 24 hours and offered to fix the "problem". But there is no need. Apparently the screen is going through some sort of burn-in period as after 4-6 hours of use it is now perfectly legible from across the room too. As for the device itself, I was very impressed. I'm in my early 70s now and have bought at least a dozen stereo amps over the years but given the low prices of Pyle stereos I have never bought a single amp from the company as I consider them cheap junk. My guess was wrong. This little amp is amazing. I bought it to use as a preamp because it is intended for an outdoor stereo set to be kept in a waterproof acrylic case in the gazebo. Despite the fall, I've tried several stereo components over the past two years and have come to the conclusion that continuing to buy expensive components is a waste of money. So I gave up and spent $116 (instead of the $300-400 minimum) on a Pyle PDA9HBU.5. I'm glad I did. This thing is built like a tank - solid and solid (heavy) with incredibly quiet electronics and rich, powerful sound. Keep in mind that I'm not using the power amp part of the unit, just the preamp, so I can't vouch for its standalone sound, but sending it through a Sony stereo amp sounds great, as good as any. a combination of consumer components (as opposed to audiophile components) that I used. It is multifunctional and offers both SD card and USB (flash drive) inputs. I record any music I want to listen to outside onto micro SD cards, so I was concerned about the quality of these readers. In fact, they (and the entire user interface) are well designed and built and have many features. The device can only play MP3 or WAV files, but since I only use those compression methods, SD/USB with five different repeat types (including random) is perfect for me. The device is also able to find and play music in folders and subfolders. I also found the FM receiver and Bluetooth radio to be top notch in electronics. My only caveat is that this device is still new and I have no idea how reliable it will prove over time. But my first impression is that this is easily one of the best deals I've found in audio electronics.
