Surprised and satisfied. This 10 for 50 replaced a pair of Swift Kestrels that broke after 17 years of use. At least they are the same or better in design. Mainly welcome protection from water and fog. These Nikons don't seem cheap. They are clear with minimal distortion. And good internal anti-reflection design. Obviously, the choice of plastic elements and hardware works just as well as the old aluminum. They are well balanced for astronomy and general use. I compare it to the more expensive Fujinon Polaris and that says a lot. Fuji is a trademark of marine binoculars, but they are quite heavy and four times the price of these Nikon binoculars. Very good illumination of the night sky. I can see and carry them around for general use, although I like my Pentax roof prism for its compactness and lightness. Binoculars can't do everything. For the price look no further. They will last a long time and your eyeballs will welcome the investment. Believe me.
