NIKON WILL NOT BE REPLACED OR REFUNDED. I SENT IT TWICE FOR A REPLACEMENT REPAIR. THIRD TIME. COUNT ME IN. DEAR BROKEN BIONOCULARS. .NIKON SCREW. I'M CRAZY. I DON'T HAVE $200. Unfortunately they have not been fixed. I call them and they want to try to fix it again. In my opinion, they didn't even try the first time. The repair receipt said they were cleaned. But it is so easy to see that they see double. The shade. This time I asked them to 100% repair or replace them. I'll let you know what…

Pros
  • Great selection
Cons
  • poorly thought out

Surprised and satisfied. This 10 for 50 replaced a pair of Swift Kestrels that broke after 17 years of use. At least they are the same or better in design. Mainly welcome protection from water and fog. These Nikons don't seem cheap. They are clear with minimal distortion. And good internal anti-reflection design. Obviously, the choice of plastic elements and hardware works just as well as the old aluminum. They are well balanced for astronomy and general use. I compare it to the more expensive…

Nikon Action Extreme 10x50

The Nikon Action Extreme 10x50 is a great pair of binoculars that provide exceptionally clear images early in the night. I was quite confused comparing the Edge Case to one of my telescopes that had a 60mm lens and surprisingly the edge is much sharper but when you think about it binoculars with a 50mm lens actually yields a 100mm lens because your eyes see 2 x 50mm and your brain combines the picture and that's why binoculars are so much better than telescopes and most people don't see the…

Great value for money

I used to have a pair of Selsi wide angle binoculars from the 80's when they were made in Japan. The best binoculars I've ever had, even compared to the old Zeiss 7x35 set. Somehow I lost them and had to replace them. Long story short, based on the help from the CloudyNights Astroforums, I decided to try the Bushnell Legacy binoculars first. I believe they were offset at the factory as the views were not very sharp and at night the out of focus stars showed the typical elongation characteristic

Pros
  • Brilliantly made

  • Communication with seller

It depends on the optics.

I have had several other binoculars at lower prices. The most recent of these was a highly acclaimed 10X roof prism that cost around $40. But when I tried not only to zoom with it, but also to see the details. cheap ones just don't cut. So I have it. difference between day and night. Cheaper roof prisms struggled to see housefly-sized details at 25 meters. See the size of a housefly (and more clearly) at a distance of 100 meters with these Nikon Porto prism binoculars. The low-light performance
