My ASUS GM 501 gets very hot. How hot? If someone tries to use a laptop on their lap, they risk second-degree burns. That's the ASUS way these days. I need extra cooling. This cooling pad works. Five fans move enough air to keep my computer cooler than without it. As long as the fans are loud, I expected that. The four smaller fans are noticeably louder, although the fan speed can be reduced. My biggest concern is the front bumpers. They are rubberized and high enough to rub against my hands. It's annoying. I can remove them.
