A good substitute for wood and metal when lightness and strength are important. I use them as mounting plates in RC airplanes. I cut mine on a CNC machine in a water bath - I don't want to breathe that dust! Also note that carbon fiber is conductive and can block RC signals and short out batteries. Therefore, be sure to use insulation methods as with metal.
