I know this is a very cheap tool but even taking that into account I was very disappointed with this out of the box unit. Based on the price I assumed, I would have to sharpen it; I didn't expect to have to grind the bevel to remove the shavings. I haven't even used it yet, so who knows how the blade will hold up? But if it can't leave the factory without losing parts of the blade, I don't expect it to last long, even after I've repaired the badly damaged edge. I will no longer buy from this company. Update: I took the time to fix the edge and get it sharp again. Now it is functional. But in the time it's taken, I wish I could just spend $5-$10 more on a different brand,
