So far, so good. Installed this 1200 watt inverter in the very back of a '07 Prius, using the included fairly bulky 2" wires to a 12 volt Prius battery under the trunk. (So the inverter is above the trunk on the carpet at the very end of the car). I also used the included remote switch that goes from the inverter to the car's passenger seat. And I connected an extension cord from one of the 2 120 volt inverter outlets that also goes to the passenger seat. That's cool ! Now I have power in my car and all I have to do is press the remote switch to turn it on. I've used this to power a 1000 watt electric stove and it works great with no shutdowns, overheating or anything. Also using a hybrid car is great as all you have to do is start the car and the engine will kick in when needed to charge the 12 volt battery which in my case probably kicks in once every 10-15. Minutes or so if you use the inverter with a 1000w stove.
