Revainrating 5 out of 5

Good quality product, I rate this purchase excellent.

It's hard to write reviews sometimes. In this situation, there is not enough introduction before the pros and cons - I will have it here. All pros and cons are my subjective opinion based on my needs and experience with other smartphones (Nexus 5x 2/16 and 4/32, Redmi 4x 2/16, Mi A2 lite 4/64). And because I chose almost without compromise, then this phone is the most suitable for my needs. So in fact there are no minuses for me. I bought it in the 1click store. Ordered there for the first time. In my city - in Hong Kong - there was just a pick-up point that was very convenient for me. There were some difficulties and questions on the order, but everything was decided during the call of the consultant immediately after the order. At the point of issue, they picked up and gave away an adapter for our sockets for free. The cheapest, of course, and I still ordered another from Ali, but you could even choose on your own, I just scored on it.

Pros
  • - Speaker sound. It is really stereo, although not equivalent - the conversational one seems to be quieter, and its frequency range is smaller. Even in my nexus, the design, as it were, hinted that the sound should be stereo, but in fact the speaker does not play multimedia in it. And against the background of other phones that I saw, I liked the sound of the pixel. Including, as it seemed to me, the frequency range is much higher. - The size. It's one of the cheapest phones with acceptable specs for me and is adequately sized for a phone with media capability, not a media device. I was just looking for phones with a length of less than 150 mm. - The shell and all the applications I use are fast enough (I play games only in timekillers). I don't notice any slowdowns. - Rich screen. I didn’t use OLED screens before, only IPS, and here I like the image, although it’s not particularly critical for me. - Even with such a small battery, with my use, it can quite live for 2 days. During the night of active sleep tracking with the Sleep as Android alarm clock and the Mi Band bracelet, the battery drains by about 25-30%. My Nexus in the same conditions was discharged from 100% to 10%, so I had to leave it on charge overnight. Everything that I use works fine. No crashes or lags. Does not lose Bluetooth connection with a bracelet and a computer. Don't forget to send message notifications, as MIUI often does. Those. in general, it just works stably. And out of the box. - Included normal OTG
Cons
  • - Someone does not like the fact that there are few settings in it. But I think it's all about trying to make the phone look like your last one. But you can get used to how everything is implemented in the new one. I switched from a Nexus 5x with Pixel Experience, so not much has changed for me. - The case is slightly pressed and creaks in one place near the camera. Kills the feeling of a quality device. - PWM brightness control. But in OLED without it in any way. You can see the nexus camera on slowmo, but I don't see it with my eyes. Perhaps you should not watch something on such a screen for a long time - it is harmful to the eyes. - The borders of the fingerprint scanner are almost not felt. Sometimes I remove the screen lock when I just take the phone in my hand or put it in my pocket. But I plan to use it with a case, so the problem is not critical for me. - There are very narrow gaps between the screen glass and the body frame, and between the camera glass and the camera frame. All sorts of rubbish and dust get in there. - Strange volume of screenshots, camera and calls. To at least hear calls and notifications, I set this slider to the middle. But in this position, the volume of the camera and screenshots is just fierce. The whole apartment will hear that you took a screenshot or photographed something. - It is difficult to find a cable for charging. My Baseus cable refused to charge the pixel from low current power supplies. Slow charging starts, but after 2-15 seconds it stops and starts again as if I had reconnected the cable. This is from almost all USB on your computer. But I have a desktop hub connected to the rear type-C of my computer, and therefore it gives more charging current, and the phone charges normally from this hub. It also normally charges with this cable from any network power supply, including from the bundled one via the bundled OTG. With a cable, Ugreen does not charge at all, even from network blocks. At the same time, the nexus and my bt column are normally charged with both cables. Fortunately, there were no problems with my car kit and Xiaomi power bank.
