I researched the best external DVD drives for laptops and this one came #1 for price, ease of use and quality. I don't know anything about this type of product so I bought it trusting the review. It was pretty easy to set up - the instructions are in small print and in many languages. I had to download a free app on my computer to watch the movies I bought it for. I didn't use the disc that came with it. According to the review, it was a bit noisy, but I didn't hear any noise except when ejecting a DVD. I also had trouble inserting the DVD as it wouldn't slide in easily. I had to press it against the center bar so too much force could break the tray. It's a bit thin, so it needs to be handled with care. I am happy with this purchase.
