Ok I gave it 5 stars because it's the best pepper grinder we've ever had. In fact we had two. It adapts very well and works very well if you want lots of large peppers, but you can also chop them finer and faster. Filling up is garbage. But it breaks at the bottom and the thick, heavy coffee grinder falls out with all the peppercorns. Happened to me twice already. Normally I would just say there is a design flaw and avoid it, but my goodness it works like no other! So what the heck texted the company saying my grinder was broken downstairs etc and forgot the email. A few weeks later I got a replacement outer shell shipped free of charge and I was able to easily put the old shredding mechanism back on and voila! I'm back in business. The black case is the cheapest part of the product and I think it's not that hard for the company to send you another one. Finally, because inside a typical plastic container is a heavy metal grinder. , I think it is prone to falls. I know this warning doesn't stop people from accidentally dropping this thing, but thought I'd add it. I would like to add that you should also avoid car accidents.
