
If you have a long, hard-to-replace ethernet cable that has a broken tab, use one of these to "extend" it a bit. You can insert the broken plug into the socket of this power strip and use a cable tie or zip tie to fix the broken plug tightly. Then plug in the male side where it belongs. Much easier than cutting the cable and going through 8 cumbersome wires into a new plug only to fix a broken latch causing the cable to fall out of its socket.
