I bought this hat and a Brooklyn Surf Wide Brim Raffia Hat. They're both great, and since they're from the same manufacturer, some of what I'm about to say is similar. I have a pretty big head but this hat suits me! It's a one size fits all so you might think people with small heads would swim in it, but there's a thick elastic band inside that stretches or compresses to accommodate more or less space. Anyway, for me it's perfect! This really is one size fits all. The drawstring keeps it under my chin on a windy day, or if I want to take it off my head I can wear it around my neck, which is nice. The straw material feels nice and cools the head, while the inner elastic is made of a very soft fabric that feels good on the forehead. It also has a wide brim so the sun doesn't get in my eyes! All in all it was a great purchase! If you're trying to decide between this and wide-brimmed raffia, I'd suggest basing it on the aesthetic. Comfort is about the same. This one has a cool black logo on the front and black lining around the edges, the other doesn't.
