Review on Filter AQUAEL Unifilter 500 UV by Jnis Krmi ᠌

Revainrating 5 out of 5

The ratio of price and quality is very pleasing, I will repeat the purchase.

As a filter, an aquarium of 200 liters will definitely not pull, but it will do just fine with 80-100 liters. Regarding the UV nozzle: if the water is ALREADY green and cloudy, then it is sk. everything will not help, tk. low-power both himself and the nozzle. It is necessary to a) Perform a change of at least 30% of the water; 2) Dramatically reduce the illumination of the aquarium - cover it with a blanket for three days; 3). For the same three days, do not feed the fish at all or feed them minimally. The UV nozzle these days should work continuously. Then the effect will be!. In the future, for prevention and to save the life of the diodes, it is enough to turn on the UV for 5-10 hours a day, since it has a separate power supply.

Pros
  • Worth the money if used correctly - see comments. Good for turtles and other options with low water height (can be placed horizontally) and a lot of mud. Suitable as a preventive UV sterilizer even for aquariums up to 150 liters (but not as a filter!).
Cons
  • Overrated features. Short tube for aerator.
