I found every cable to be great and works well. I'm not sure what other people are saying in their reviews because I've used almost every wire and haven't had any problems with breadboards and Arduino. I'll buy some more because I hate soldering and it will save you the hassle of soldering (certainly won't look as strong or clean as solder, but great if you're designing something and don't want to dictate where you put the wire.) I cut one in half to see if you can solder the end of it and I saw that you absolutely cannot. So don't cut those wires, it won't work. It's probably not the best method, but I actually hot glued these guys on to hold them in place, and the outer plastic held up well to the heat of the glue. (Now that's a bunch of wires, but here are some pics. My fun DIY projects include an Arduino robot that lights/moves with sensors/motors, and an Arduino cuckoo clock that uses Bluetooth, a real-time component, to light up brings motors (cuckoo bird) and LCD screen I said I used all the wires and I'm ordering more.)
