CONS: No instructions, I looked at the photo to understand. To avoid breaking the legs when you push your foot into the groove, keep the legs together - turn the knob instead. This will give you a firmer base to press on. The trailing edge is the unsupported side - do not place support clips (small black plastic braces) there. The buttons don't come out without a slight wobble. I don't think anything larger than a 15.6 inch screen will do. I have a 15.6 HP laptop and it sits between round dials with a 1/2 inch gap on one side. I'm not sure I'd be comfortable placing a freestanding screen on a base with no support on the back, it seems awfully wobbly to me. If you have an animal I would put an anti-slip mat underneath to keep it from slipping. PROS: My laptop sits on a platter for almost an hour and the metal is still cool to the touch. sensory. After adjusting the legs/base the screen was at a decent level.
