Great for do-it-yourself projects
I had an old Beseler magnifier that was gathering dust and decided to convert it into a copy stand. I removed the enlarger head, added a small metal plate to the bracket that the enlarger head was attached to, and attached this adapter to the center of the plate. After applying a fresh coat of paint the finished product looks good and performs as expected. Total investment (including adapter): $120.00. A comparable copy stand would cost between $480 and $620. I'll probably buy another one or two of these adapters for other projects I have.
