Complete Kit Bracket for Equipment Compatibility

Since purchasing and installing this equipment my photo shoots have become more productive. Now all my camera/gear mounts are the same and I can easily swap cameras and other gear between these mounts (four). I now keep a "loose" adapter plate in my camera bag to use in case something new or different is needed for a particular shoot.

Great for do-it-yourself projects

I had an old Beseler magnifier that was gathering dust and decided to convert it into a copy stand. I removed the enlarger head, added a small metal plate to the bracket that the enlarger head was attached to, and attached this adapter to the center of the plate. After applying a fresh coat of paint the finished product looks good and performs as expected. Total investment (including adapter): $120.00. A comparable copy stand would cost between $480 and $620. I'll probably buy another one or…

Excellent adapter set for a quick installation!

Back in the late 80's I had a large, heavy Wisner 8x10 view camera that used a very similar system on a large bowhead and wooden tripod - with ease. Today I am happy with the Mamiya RB67 camera system, affectionately called The Brick. I need to mount an old TiltAll tripod, but the OEM mount isn't up to the task. After some googling I found this old friend and everything is fine now! 135 users using 1200mm telephoto lenses still need a second tripod to support them. But anyone using a camera…

Pros
  • Easy to read control panel
Cons
  • All right

Solid product at a great price!

Of course everyone knows that Manfrotto (aka Bogen) makes great products and this quick release is no exception. I've tried the RC2 style and never felt the camera lock securely while the RC0 just felt a lot more secure. I agree with the previous reviewer that it would be nice to have some form of feedback that would ensure the camera locked properly as there are times when only the front is fixed while the back is left out. This can definitely be an operator error, because the more often I use

Pros
  • Worth the money
Cons
  • Not as good as it says

Great QR plate

I've tried several quick release systems over the years and this one keeps coming back. I have multiple cameras, tripods, monopods, and a homemade shoulder pad and needed a good "system" way to move cameras between supports. I have tried QR systems from Arca Swiss, Really Right Stuff, Gitzo and Manfrotto/Bogen. Each system has its own advantages, but this device (and its previous generation ancestors) has become my go-to mount. I like the current version with built-in spirit level. I now have 3
