In the late 80's I had a large, heavy Wisner 8x10 camera that used a very similar system on a large bowhead and wooden tripod - with ease. Today I am happy with the Mamiya RB67 camera system, affectionately called The Brick. I need to mount an old TiltAll tripod, but the OEM mount isn't up to the task. After some googling I found this old friend and everything is fine now! 135 users using 1200mm telephoto lenses still need a second tripod to support them. But anyone using a camera that accepts a 1/4-20 or 3/16-18 mounting screw will feel comfortable with this mounting kit. The only limitation is the weight capacity of the tripod itself. Buy with confidence!
