Despite repeated attempts, I still couldn't get my new TCL 4K Roku TV to "see" my 2018 iPad Pro, even when connected directly to high quality HDMI was connected cable. So I thought maybe Roku TV just doesn't "accept" iDevices. Then I decided to conduct an experiment. Instant success, of course. The TV faithfully reproduces the 2018 iPad Pro using Apple's own adapter. This Satechi product is being returned and is priced exactly the same as the Apple USB-C Multiport Adapter. Lesson Learned: Stick to Apple's own accessories and don't take third-party word for your supposedly 'compatible' products.
