They are larger than they appear in the picture. It would be helpful to find the size specifications listed and measure them to represent them. I find they are a good size that will be quite useful for most applications. I plan to take them mainly on hikes to see the countryside, bird watch and do some sports to stop nosebleeds. It's sealed, nitrogen-filled, fogproof/waterproof, so I expect they'll hold up in inclement weather. Also, they are heavier than they look. They feel really solid wrapped in grippy, textured rubber. They must be defeated. The optics are simply fantastic. Everything is bright and clear, and the zoom makes it easy to read signs that are far away. The only two downsides I found were that the rubber eyecups on the back of the binoculars didn't have a realistic method of attachment. They're just there, like they're about to fall. Keeping them in a case should prevent them from falling. Second, since we're used to DSLR lens caps and how accurate/tight they fit, it's similar to the history of the lens caps on the front of these binoculars in that they don't snap in place with authority. I doubt they will come loose, but they don't feel as secure as they should. Overall I am very satisfied and recommend them. You're pretty sick.
