Not very "stretches " but it works.

later 5 feet - a very generous description of length. The cable is very tightly twisted and will need pre-tensioning if you intend to use it for more than 18 inches of mobility. For landscape shots I would go with a longer cable (the screen is on a separate tripod from the camera).
